· Ensure compliance with Legislative, Client and RMS HSE Policies standards, plans and procedures

• Ensure a safe working environment is established and maintained and that unsafe conditions are reduced to ALARP, and unsafe practices are discontinued.
• Ensure that all site HSE Safety Inspections, Task specific Risk Assessments, Hazard Reports Procedural Task Observations and Audits etc. are completed, recorded and submitted in the required time frames.
• Ensure that all personnel, including contractors and visitors, are instructed in HSE requirements for the areas they are working in and the tasks they are doing.
• Ensure all incidents are investigated, reports completed and submitted in the required timeframes.
• Ensure that all procedures, processes used are suitable for the task being done and are the current versions.
• Ensure that all preventative and corrective actions are assigned to personnel, followed up and closed out.

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation in relation to use of plant, equipment and substances as well as in all workplace activities

- Analyze workplace condition inspection reports, Planned Task Observations report, and non-conformity reports to identify significant risk posing treat to open pit operations and recommend the necessary corrective actions.

- Assist in the development and review of standards, procedures, and codes of practice, etc.

- Review, compile, analyze and interpret data from incident and loss event reports and other sources regarding injuries, illnesses, and property damage to identify causes, trends and relationships

- Promote an OH&S culture that mitigates the risk of injury to personnel and damage to plants and equipment.

- Submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports and statistical information to the Superintendent for review and approval

- Participate in Incident Investigation, finding the root causes and taking remedial actions and follow up for close out.

- Build a good relationship between the community and AMS / SMK

- Promptly report problems to management

- Obligation to frequently visit the villages, people around the mining area of Yanfolila and to work with local NGOs and the town hall.

- To have close relations with all layers of the community, local authorities.

- Comply with all AMS / SMK occupational health and safety requirements

- Gather relevant data and information circulating in the community.

- Monitor and coordinate the feasibility of the company's assistance programs in the community
